Review of Orlando (2007) by Jeremy H — 22 Nov 2007
This attractive film is among the strangest movies I've seen. The story involves 400 years in the life of Orlando, who starts the movie off as a male and becomes female along the way, all the time played by the luminous Tilda Swinton.
I definitely wish I had read Virginia Woolf's novel first to better understand everything that was happening but it was still interesting to watch Swinton's performance and the study of broken gender roles and stereotypes.
