Review of Orlando (2007) by Kok Hoong F — 01 Jun 2012
Orlando (1992) with Tilda Swinton is a beautiful, quirky and interesting little film. It explores the sexual duality of the human nature through the character of Orlando, who goes through the English history, Queen Victoria I onwards.
It challenges how we typically identify as either only male or female, depending on our jiggly bits. Furthermore it shows the inequality that's always been around (and still is) between the two sexes and the small-mindedness of people behind it.
