Review of Origin: Spirits of the Past (2006) by Mats B — 24 May 2011
In the future, the forest has come to life and controls the water supply to a human settlement. Another group of humans wants to destroy the forest. There is a young man named Agito who finds a girl named Toola buried underneath the ancient city he calls home. Toola isn't in love with the world she is awaken to and has the technology to destroy it.
The animation is good and I enjoyed the first half of the movie. About half way through, Agito goes into the forest and the forest gives him superpowers (the kid can catch bullets fired from canons and toss them around now) is when things started going downhill for me.
