Review of Ordet (1955) by Andrew U — 22 Feb 2008
Dreyer's best film. A film that examines the nature of faith, and one that affirms it at the end. I'm so used to the cyncial stance that people like Bergman take on these issues, that Dreyer's ending was a bit unsettling at first, but that's also what makes it so bold and powerful.
A challenging film.
