Review of Orca (1977) by John-Robert W — 26 Mar 2009
Aside from Richard Harris, Charlotte Rampling, Morricone's scores, and some interesting subtext, "Orca: the Killer Whale" fails to convince us that killer whales are horrifying. The great white shark, seen briefly in the beginning of the film, is a more terrifying.
Also, there are so many unintentional laughs in this film that I could practically recommend it as an offbeat comedy, but of course, that would go against the original intent of the picture.
