Review of Orca (1977) by Jay D — 21 Jan 2013
Bat-shit insane Jaws ripoff that is more entertaining than it has any right to be. Richard Harris plays the drunken sea captain (heavily inspired by fellow drunken hunter of sea beasties/real life drinking pal Robert Shaw) who has a bond with an orca after he and his crew kill its wife and child.
That's right. Bo Derek, the Indian from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, and Lewis Scolneck from Revenge of the Nerds are just a few of the members of his crack-savvy crew. It's an insane film and you will have no freaking idea where it's going from one minute to the next.
Yet you must watch.
