Review of Opera (1987) by Jesse F — 03 Mar 2008
Like most Argento films, this one is beautifully shot, but the story isn't up to standard. It's full of sadism and stylish gore but it's also a convoluted story that's supposed to be more realistic than most of his earlier work.
Perhaps it was Argento's depression that made this one just okay, but his films after this one haven't exactly been up to par either.
