Review of Opera (1987) by Matthew D — 18 Jun 2008
The motif in this film of a young woman bound and forced to watch the horrors of another's brutal death is directly linked to Argento's disdain for anyone who covers their eyes at his gore. He puts this brutality on screen for us to witness and if you look away or cover your eyes then that is an insult to him.
