Old-school, traditional Western thats at least 20 minutes too long. Duvall and Costner are good - Costner especially so but the bloody love story tagged on at the end is unwelcome to say the least. The dialogue is also clunky at times but the performances, cinematography and climactic gunfight scene make it an agreeable enough way to spend 2 hours.
