Review of Open Range (2003) by Matthew T — 10 Sep 2008
Costner's best work as a director and actor. Annette Bennings performance is surprisingly strong for what could have been a weak supportive role. In many ways this film is a tribute to Robert Duvall's acting as his role calls on all his strengths as an actor that has made him iconic A list actor, even though he has spend a majority of his career playing supporting roles.
The film was definitely Oscar worthy.
