Two or three scenes with dialog would have lent much-needed characterization to what is otherwise Ryan Gosling and Vithaya Pansingarm (who may be the actual protagonist) wandering through some super-stylish Bangkok streets.
Gosling in particular is barely more than a ventriloquist's dummy; we likewise barely get a glimpse into Pansingarm's mind. It's 'Drive' minus the clear motivations.
