Review of One Day in September (1999) by Sebastian D — 15 Apr 2009
The Olympic games are suppose to be an event which unites the world, where we can forget about all the turmoil and enjoy the sport. But in 1972, the Munich games were the unfortunate host to a tragic terrorist/hostage incident.
This documentary is a shocking eyeopener as to what kind of world we live in when our Olympic athletes are not even safe from terrorism, and not long after the terrorist attempt on the Sri Lankan cricket team recently, this film is still relevant today.
It also exposes how badly the whole incident was handled by the officials. This is a great documentary with excellent editing.
