Review of One Day in September (1999) by Steve G — 07 Apr 2008
Between Michael Douglas's tense narration, a series of interviews with key people, and actual footage of the event as it was brought into TV viewers' homes throughout the world, this documentary does a great job of analyzing the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
The real story here is not so much the shocking Palestinian crime, but the appalling incompetence and collusion of West German authorities in the face of that crime.
