Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Jeff H — 23 Jul 2011
I have never been a huge fan of the classics, but that's because I grew up with a different era of filmmaking. Watching this film does something for film buffs. Just watching Brando's performance in this film compared to all the other actors shows you what an innovator he was and how much he changed the way actors approach their craft.
His "I coulda been a contender." speech is one of the great scenes in film history.
