Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Sakata — 10 Oct 2018
Simply a movie that marked the history of cinema. Marlon Brando delivers a masterful performance as Terry Malloy. And their co-stars Eva Marie-Saint, Karl Malden, Lee J. Cobb and Rod Steiger are not far behind, especially Cobb, in the skin of the great villain Johnny Friendly.
With a sensational script, a instrumental soundtrack by Leonard Bernstein and impeccable direction by Elia Kazan, "On the Waterfront" is simply a classic not to be missed.
