Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Wezul S — 19 Jul 2015
An ex-boxer stooge falls for the sister of the mob's latest victim, and is conflicted about allegiances. It's only when the mob kills his brother does he seek revenge, not in the streets but in the courts.
This hard-hitting mob drama has a perfect cast and an amazingly kinetic script. It's no wonder this is seen as one of the finest American films.
