Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Mike V — 10 Sep 2017
Movie afternoon with Iris.
Feeling dirty after Girl on the Train, I needed redemption with a classic. You don't get much better than this. Unbelievable cast all turning it up to 11. "I could have been a contender" and "Christ is down here on the waterfront"; two of the greatest scenes ever. I see more of the Christian imagery each time, and Bernstein's electric score. Genius film.
