Review of On the Town (1949) by Jacqueline C — 28 Jan 2008
Ehh. You'd think this movie would be fantastic with such stars as Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. But the music wasn't that great - I practically fell asleep during that long "A Day in New York" musical digression.
If you like most MGM musicals, you'll like this one. But if you're only familiar with "Singin' in the Rain," skip it. It can't compare.
