Review of On the Beach (1959) by Scott M — 21 Aug 2008
Film version of a novel about people who, after nuclear war has destroyed the rest of the world, are in Australia waiting for the effects of nuclear fallout to reach them.
Sombre, and still relevant today. An area of interest is to see how the city of Melbourne, and places like Frankston and Phillip Island looked in the late 1950s.
