Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Nicholas P — 28 Dec 2008
I had trouble seeing Lazenby as Bond after viewing the first films with Connery but Lazenby does hold his own in this straight forward Bond film with an odd but more complex love story. I loved the skiing scene and the fact that Bond actually lost someone he loved toward the end of the film.
Morever, I loved the fact that in "The Spy Who Loved Me" a lady spy asked Bond about how he lost his loved one and Bond became pissed and said, "I'm sensitive about some things".
Overall, this is a standard Bond film that needs to be watched if you like Bond in any capacity.
