Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Hannu M — 15 Nov 2009
Not only is On Her Majesty's Secret Service the most under-rated of Bond films, it is also their pinacle quality wise. Lazenby's performance seems to incorporate the best of Sean Connery's broodiness and Roger Moore's boyishness.
The film also rises above other Bonds in its plot which is the most personally involved among the Bond films. Only Timothy Dalton's Licence to Kill and Daniel Craig's darker and grimier adaptations have managed to come close to its excellence.
