Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Liamexe — 15 Nov 2022
I had never seen this movie before today and assumed Lazenby would have a horrible performance. He's not very good at first, but as the story progresses, I found myself growing to enjoy him, and by the conclusion, I really liked him.
He is great in action sequences and is wonderful with women. And it was a well-done action. The tempo keeps going without stopping. I was totally hooked by the last third. It is a very different kind of Bond movie.
Lazenby plays effectively because of his good sense of reality. He is not at all as sophisticated as Sean Connery, but I appreciated that about him.
