Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Brian C — 29 Nov 2015
There were a few things I didn't like about this new start after the Connery era, and both were in the opening minutes. The cheesy line "That never happened to the other fella" and the fact that there was no bond song for this one, well not with lyrics anyway.
These small things apart I thought that Lazenby made a fairly decent Bond, he was much more human, more likeable than the Connery bond, who, let's not forget, was a wife beater. and this film contained lots of great snow action scenes which are particularly fond childhood memories for me.
I liked this quite a lot more than some of the Connery films actually.
