It has been a long time since a film has left me as sad as this one did. The amazing part is that it manages to be so affecting with so little drama happening on the surface. Such a precise tone, and such wonderful, natural acting from the leads.
The score from Yo La Tengo is the perfect complement to the awesome cinematography.
