The positively sinister and torturously long ballet segment unapologetically cemented in the middle of the film notwithstanding, this is a rather entertaining affair. Oklahoma! has a bit of the old-time Disney-style flair, particularly in the first half.
It suffers also from a lack of entr'acte, but as the running time comes in at under 150 minutes, it's bearable. The songs are evergreen, and the cinematography is nothing short of magestic.
