Review of Ocean's Twelve (2004) by Edward D — 26 Nov 2011
This sequel relies heavily on its in-jokes, its past movies, and contemporary knowledge, rendering it absolutely unentertaining for those unacquainted with either of the three elements. Its a lot less clever than it thinks it is, and remains far too gilded and formulaic (which they didn't get right) to make a real impressionable show.
Nevertheless, the personality of each character still is entertaining to watch, as is Cloony's chemistry with Julia Roberts. Catherine Zeta-Jones proves to exude her universally sexy character, but remains a bit aloof from the twelve to make much sense.
