Review of Ocean's Twelve (2004) by Seth S — 13 Jul 2012
The funniest of the three. Oceans 12 is the sequel to Oceans 11 (bet you didn't know that). The movie may have a really lame actual "heist" but it is a whole load of fun.
Danny Ocean and his crew are back in this sequel. He must go to Europe and make enough money to pay back Terry Benedict. Standing in his way is a government agent named Isabel Lahiri, who is Rusty's ex-girlfriend. Also standing in their way is Francois Toulour, another expert robber. Oceans 12 must steal a prized piece of art before Toulour.
All the original cast is back, plus Catherine Zeta-Jones. Clooney, Pitt, Damon, and Roberts all stand out with their performances. Its a treat to see Damon's character, Linus, have more screen time. Hes great. Plus Casey Affleck and Scott Caan steal some scenes. Catherine Zeta-Jones is good as Isabel, maybe the best thing about the character is her romantic connection to Brad Pitt's character Rusty Ryan (this being the only movie with a love interest for Rusty).
Overall, this may be my favorite in the series, simply because it is the funniest. The heist is disappointing, but you can't help but have fun with these characters.
"Pregnant women often become ambidextrous." 8/10.
