Review of Nowhere Boy (2009) by Liliane S — 09 Dec 2010
Excellent and realistic portrayal of John Lennon's boyhood. It gives you a great insight into his life before the Beatles. His broken family and his many losses shape his future lyrics in a way that many fans are unaware of.
The actor Aaron Johnson looked more like Daniel Radcliffe than John Lennon, but if you could see beyond that he was a brilliant actor and did a fantastic job. I'm really glad that I saw this slice-of-life rendition.
The music, the scenery and costumes... everything was put together really well to creative the 60's backdrop. A must-see for any Beatles fan.
