Review of Notting Hill (1999) by Sophie . — 11 Dec 2009
Hugh Grant is fabulous, When I first saw this I didn't think any of it, actually I found it a bit of a bore. Then I saw it again and LOVED IT. The homour is brilliant and just the little things about it shape it. I enjoy British comedy alot more, and I think I understand it. This is a Classic and Hugh Grant is so awkwardly funny. He can play the same character in every movie and I will never get sick of it. I just watched this again the other day, and I think the realisim of the characters is what is so great about it. Hugh and his family arent anything but normal and Julia playing a famous actress brings a down to earth quailty so it all touches close to home.
Visited the travel book store when I went to London June 09.
