Welcome back to Super Scary Spring, my look at various horror films.

I know that I may seem redundant by giving this film a 100% when I gave the original the same score, but honestly, the remake may be just as good. Sadly, not many people know about this one, or have seen it. Even those who have heard of it are quick to denounce it because it's a remake to the classic.

The plot of this film is a bit closer to Bram Stoker's Dracula than the original. This is clearly because Werner Herzog could get the rights. The main difference is that all the character's names are back to the book's originals. This isn't a bad thing, It's actually good. It shows that it wasn't trying to clone the original.

One thing that I love is the makeup. Cinema Maniac made a good point when he said how Orlok looks like a bat. The same is shown here. Best vampire makeup of all time.

(I may be wrong on the following paragraph, but I think I've got it right).

As I said, Nosferatu was a lost film for a very long time. This version, I believe, was made while it was lost, so that makes it a non-pointless remake.

There is really nothing more I can say. Anything good with the classic is still present here. A fantastic and underrated remake.
