Review of Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Shawn M — 13 Nov 2009

By the end of this one, I wasn't sure how much I liked it... the visuals and music are extremely well-done and pretty provocative, but the story was a little plodding and obviously very well-known, even with the liberties taken by Herzog.

However, days after having seen it, it's the visuals and the music that keep coming back to me, and I realize it isn't as easy to shake off the experience as I would have thought. I get the feeling now that the film would improve with further viewings, as is so often the case with many of Herzog's films.
