Review of Normal Adolescent Behavior (2007) by Cory T — 11 Dec 2007
Conjuring up a time when life made more sense, when all that was expected of you was to go to school... and graduate. This particular group of seniors sees a world of ugliness and selfishness, devoid of love and smothering in pain... so they have a bond- they share each other, equally, in everyway possible. They all six are connected by all means but blood relation.
... But what will happen when they graduate high school and are 'forced' to go to college and 'start their lives'?
The dialogue and interactions of this film are so, so realistic and I fully believe I enjoyed this movie now because I have graduated high school and have experienced that bittersweet loss of normalcy. "What are we going to do after graduation?" "Who cares right now. Just hold me for now.".
As a sidenote, I loved the clothes these kids wore... holy crap they had the coolest clothes. I don't usually notice things like that, but in a movie about teenagers abstaining from normal societal flows, it's a given.
