Review of Noriko's Dinner Table (2005) by Kyall J — 13 Nov 2008
It's one of those films that toys with your attention span for the first half hour or so, sort of a slow build up to action. It mostly lacked a lot of the stirring immediacy of its predecessor, but it had flashes of absolute genius, and the plot held together very nicely and could probably even stand on its own without a lot of trouble.
The ending felt like it dragged on for about twenty minutes too long, as well, but other than that it was a well-crafted and very impressive film, and I definitely can't wait for the third installment.
