Review of Nocturnal Animals (2016) by Ola G — 13 May 2017
After a truly cringe inducing opening minute or two featuring naked old ladies, I found this film to be quite good. The cast is undoubtedly excellent with genuinely Oscar-worthy work from everyone in my opinion, I especially liked Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the villain here.
The film features a collection of three stories, one fictional to the film and the other two being the past and present of some of the characters. I really enjoyed the fictional story and the other two parts were not the greatest in my mind.
However, they were interested enough to keep me invested for the whole film, I'm just not quite sure about the strange way the film decided to end.
