Tremendous performances and a top-notch script, Nocturnal Animals is a heavy, engaging drama that is equal parts absorbing yet uncomfortable to watch. Not for those with a weak stomach, but if you're looking for a feel-bad time with some of the most (intentionally) selfish, hateful, yet thoroughly human and fascinating characters you can imagine, then look no further.
This is one that will leave you contemplating its themes weeks later.
