Review of Nobody Knows (2004) by Conan Y — 10 Sep 2007
Heartbreakingly beautiful! The very film touches your innermost tenderness. The story of four abandoned children brings out one?s basic compassion and humanity. Without much dramatic elements, details of the film convey overwhelming sweetness and warmth.
Tragedy is mixed with beauty, depression is added with optimism. The film enables us to trace back our deepest memory, even through we had such different childhood with the four characters. We all once had little control of our lives and had no idea of what tomorrow looks like.
But we grew up painfully and happily. We grew more independent, more mature, more certain of our future, and more clear about life. After witnessing these forgotten children? life, I couldn?t help but called my parents to express my thanksgiving.
Only because of their love in my growing years, today I am not in self-pity but to extend a devout prayer to children like them.
