Bleak and depressing movie of 4 abandoned children (the eldest is only 12) forced to fend for themselves after their mother leaves them. With the little money given to them before she went they try their best to survive. It's hard to believe this is based on a real life story.
The child actors are superb in their roles and the one playing the 5 year old girl Yuki is incredibly adorable. There are a couple of moving scenes involving her character which I won't spoil for you.
Well worth watching. It'll leave an impression on you that's for sure.
