Review of No One Killed Jessica (2011) by Avinash C — 26 Jan 2011
Though the movie does stand out as a good, well-done movie, among the trash churned out by Bollywood, it was still a let-down. Expected a much crisper, cleaner movie from the director of Aamir (which was one of the best movies of that year).
Vidya Balan and Rani Mukherjee do give pretty good performances. Since my expectations were much higher, I was not impressed with the editing or the direction. What could have been a great movie, given the topic and the actors involved, turned out to be just a "good movie compared to the other trash".
In spite of this, I'd definitely say this is a must-watch... such movies do need our patronage.
