Review of No One Killed Jessica (2011) by Angie M — 26 Feb 2011
EDITEDApril 1999, New Delhi. Jessica, a young attractive model hired as a celebrity bartender for a night, is shot dead at a private party. Her crime - refusing to serve a drink after closing hours. The culprit Manish, son of a prominent politician, inebriated by a deadly cocktail of alcohol and a sense of entitlement, pulls the trigger in a fit of rage.
With 300 of Delhi's swish set present at the party, many of whom are witnesses to the murder, Manish looks all set to go to the gallows. Except, it doesn't quite turn out that way. Now two women, Jessica's sister, Sabrina and a feisty TV reporter, Meera, will have to drum up every resource at their disposal to outwit Manish at his own game, if the truth is to have any chance of prevailing over money and political clout.
wow such a brilliant and amazing start for Bollywood this year, unlike past year with bad or below average movies like Pyaar Impossible and Dulha Mil gaya. Hollywood failed too. but this time Bollywood had a good start.
this movie turned out to be way better and far more excellent than I thought it will be. just superb.a movie based on real events that happened in Delhi. a murder and everything else that follows. this movie is very well directed, I am very impressed by the director.
Bravo. Story is fresh and interesting and very well written in a way one really wan'ts to watch. Screenplay is good. very gripping and thrilling which is strange. good elements in it. one other good thing about this movie is that its very well edited, extremely great editing have been done, its a plus point.
the flashback scenes, crime scenes, the present- Media and Courtroom scenes and everything else, perfect timings and placement. amazing.Performances wise I knew it would be good. once again Vidya Balan gives a terrific performance.
her past movies like Parineeta and then her award winning roles in Paa and Ishqiya she is turning a great actress day by day which she already is. immensely talented actress, very natural. on the other hand Rani Mukherjee did a fine job, not great though.
but good for her she is in a well made movie that also did a good Gross. she could have been better. what happened to her.Songs of this movie are killer, Amit is a one talented guy, Dilli, Aali ray, Yeh Pal, Aitebaar are brilliant songs with lovely tunes and music.
I loved this movie so much. its a crime drama thriller, very emotional at times. an excellent movie. Go see it.
