Review of No Man's Land (2001) by David L — 07 May 2008
What is war but no man's land? Tanovic's debut reeks of genuinely funny dark humor and comical gravitas, but gradually grows into something more important and timeless, questioning the very purpose of war itself by means of a hard-hitting allegory involving two soldiers on opposing sides.
'No Man's Land' is a war film at its most unconventional, focusing not on the physicality of war but rather poking fun at its very absurdity.
