Review of Nights of Cabiria (1957) by Jared G — 18 Feb 2008
This is one of my all time favorites and the first Fellini I ever saw. Giulietta Masina is just fantastic. She's able to convey strength, tenderness, vulnerability and hopefulness in the face of any number tragedies.
The film is beautifully done with enough humor to balance the drama and enough optimism to balance the melancholy. It's pretty much a perfect film.
