Review of Nights in Rodanthe (2008) by Jennifer D — 16 Feb 2010
A miserable adaptation of a depressing story. Gosh I wish I had known before I picked this up that it was a Nicholas Sparks story. His formula is so predictable. Two people meet, have a meaningful relationship, fall in love, one of them dies, everyone gets sad.
...blah, blah, blah...Clearly the producers ran out of money half way through the film. The soundtrack sucks goat er I mean it could have been so much better. The editing is choppy and Richard Gere does the love scene thing for which he's become so famous where he picks up the girl and twirls her around while kissing her until the audience gets sick.
I'm giving this movie one star because the house on stilts is just the coolest thing ever and that's all.
