Review of Nightmare Alley (2021) by Delayedreviews — 30 Jan 2022

Did not realize this was a remake of a 40s neo-noire film. Of course it is, it's so well done! The circular storytelling and the rich foreshadowing and the gruesome but satisfying practical effects are the highlights for me.

Now that I think about it, the psychiatrist lady is a bit too cold and trope-y for me to handle, but honestly, I think some movies should be resurrected faithfully like Nightmare Alley and Westside Story, like Shakespeare.
