Review of Nightbreed (1990) by Simone S — 17 Sep 2017

This is a genre bending movie. It's not accidental that Netflix tried to classify it as Fantasy/Horror and even Sci fi. People who like shock flicks and horror movie cliches will probably not know what to do with it.

However if you are able keep an open mind Nightbreed it's a captivating descent into a suggestive and epic dark mithology that is worth making. The director's cut is also way superior to the ridiculous original release wanted by Fox full of sops for the slasher movie crowd.
