Review of Night of the Living Dead (1968) by Iván O — 28 Oct 2011
Yes, I consider this essential zombie movie viewing. Nevermind the simplistic makeup effects and lackluster acting. The premise is scary and surprisingly believable. Important, iconic, classic - it's deserving of all those accolades.
This flick's influence still isn't dying down. It's interesting to see Romero's beginnings in current events commentary and him laying down the groundwork for all future entries. Fun and frightening.
