Review of Night and Day (1946) by Jessica T — 15 Feb 2005
This is one of the oldest musicals, but one of the best. This musical tells the tale of Cole Porter, played by the sexy yet old-school Cary Grant. Grant portrays Porter well, and is aided by Alexis Smilth who plays the demure Linda Lee.
The musical is a feast of wonderful songs, includin 'you're the top' and 'My heart belongs to Daddy'. One of my favourite musicals of all time, it is heart stoppingly romantic.
