Review of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008) by Lee B — 22 Dec 2010
A couple of my girl friends (not girlfriends) kept saying I would like this movie. Yet, I never went out of my way to see it. Now that I've seen it, I don't know why I didn't go for it earlier. This is a great movie that is so subtle in its comedy and relation to crazy late night antics and had great character development and nuances that push things forward at a great pace to relate to.
There are great moments and great comedy, plus Kat Dennings deserves every role Scarlett Johansen has had aside from Iron Man 2. She made Michael Cera seem more interesting. Actually, I appreciate Cera more after his Two Ferns sketch and hearing his audio commentary for this movie. This is a nice little gem that I would say isn't a teen comedy as much as a mid 20s comedy or people who partied hard when younger and retired.
