I had a blast watching this 4-hour retrospective on the entire "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise, as it delved into the entire series and revealed several interesting and new details I wasn't aware of.

For a film fan of the series it is a real treat as it discusses several of the well-known details and mythos of the series that is common knowledge to die-hard fans: the immense and apparently often intentional homo-erotic elements that are continually present in the second film, the origin of the Freddy Kreuger character from conception to execution, the change in the third film into a more fantastical version of Krueger, and much more.

The large majority of the cast members in every film appear to give their opinions and thoughts and memories from each film, and I was pleased with how comprehensive this documentary was and how passionate all involved were with sharing their information made it a lot of fun to watch.

If you are a huge fan of the Nightmare series like I have it is required viewing and will certainly give details even staunch loyalists will likely have never heard. And even if you are a casual fan it is put together well enough to hold the attention of the uninitiated.
