"Network" is a fun and smart ride! It's energetic and crazy in a good way -- like that time Tom Cruise jumped up on the couch on The Oprah Show. Except this has a point. On offer here, besides a fun script and some memorable performances, is a steady barrage of social commentary about the role of television in our lives.
I was surprised at how relevant it all seemed, despite the movie being 45 years old now. I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought it was a little too heavy-handed at times. Definitely recommend it, though.
