Review of Ned Kelly (2003) by Keith T — 05 Feb 2008
I've been wanting to see this for a while. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger dying gave ITV the excuse to screen it!
I thought it was pretty good. Good development of the story and quite a bit of action.
Pity they didn't manage to wind the old Regum song "Poor Ned" into the soundtrack. Written by Trevor Lucas that name-checks most of the locations, so they were all vaguely familiar.
I spent about 10 minutes trying to work out why one of the cast was just SO familiar to me. Then I realised: Brenda, from 6 Feet Under, with very different hair!
Must watch the old Mick Jagger version from 10970 again soon.
